Gerald Gardner's Book of Shadows delineates eight different methods of creating magick. The eighth path, "the Great Rite" is a ritual act of sexual intercourse between two people, usually the High Priestess & High Priest of the coven, representing the Goddess & God. The Great Rite can be enacting symbolically (usually with a chalice and athame) as well as "in Actual." This video covers the history and origins of the Great Rite, the Hieros Gamos "sacred marriage" archetype, Drawing Down the Moon & Sun (aspecting the Goddess or God through oneself, a form of trance channelling,) the "left hand path" of Tantra, the Gnostic Mass, Western sex magick, and sacred prostitution as a holy path of the Goddess. For more information, check out the "Workshops & Classes" page.

Music Credits: "Drawing Down the Moon" by Gaia Consort, "Fairy Dances" by Elven. The use of these songs is not intended to challenge copyright. I encourage you to check out the music of some of my favourite musical artists!

Gerald Gardner's Book of Shadows delineates eight different methods of creating magick. The seventh path, "the Scourge" refers specifically to a flogger used in British Traditional Witchcraft. When contrasted with "the Kiss," it is a symbol of the pain and suffering of life. Scourging has been used in many different religious traditions to achieve enlightenment, as have symbolic death and rebirth rituals, which may come from ancient shamanic initiations and Mystery traditions. This video briefly covers as many of these dark mysteries as possible, including initiation, pain, confronting the Shadow Self, the Monomyth, Croning, near death experiences, and death itself.   For more information, see the "Workshops & Classes" page.

Music Credits: "(Don't Fear) the Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult, "Fairy Dances" by Elven. "Don't Fear the Reaper" is owned by Sony Entertainment and their policies prevent this video from being shown in Germany. The use of these songs is not intended to challenge copyright. I encourage you to check out the music of some of my favourite musical artists!

Buy this track at http://sablearadia.bandcamp.com/track/fire-transforms-us-with-binaural-beats! From the album "Elemental (with Binaural Beats,)" featuring meditation music for each of the four cardinal elements plus spirit, each attuned to a different brainwave frequency (delta, theta, alpha, beta and gamma.) Available at http://sablearadia.bandcamp.com.

Use caution when driving or operating heavy machinery while listening, and if you have a seizure disorder, use of brainwave entrainment technologies is not advised. Headphones required. There is also a version with isochronic tones available that does not require headphones.

Intended for use with my upcoming book "The Witch's Eight Paths of Power," or as a supplement to my streaming video class series on "The Witch's Eight Paths of Power: The Second Path - Trance" (message me for details.) Listen as quietly as you like.

Instruments used: bass guitar, belly dance shawl (with jingle bells,) djembe, shaman rattle, synthesizer.

Brainwave entrainment: Levels of consciousness are determined by brainwaves. Changing consciousness, and therefore, your dominant brainwave type, happens all the time. The key for magickal or meditation practice is learning how to do this at will. Brainwave entrainment uses an external rhythmic stimulus to synchronize brainwaves and thus induce the desired state of consciousness.

Binaural beats: Two tones close to each other will induce a response in the brain equivalent to the difference between them. The brain reacts to the subsonic tone in between. These rhythms are known as binaural "two sound" beats. Headphones (or a really brilliant surround sound system with speakers at opposite ears) are necessary to make use of these frequencies because it is essential that the brain create its own response by reacting to the difference between these two tones. This is a form of *auditory or rhythmic driving* as a method of trance induction.

Solfeggio frequencies: Solfeggio frequencies are generated by numerology through the use of the Preston Toroidal Scale. which is a scale of nine tones rather than eight. It is believed that they were used in Gregorian and Sanskrit chants to impart spiritual blessings during religious/spiritual ceremonies. Modern New Age proponents believe that the vibrations produced by these frequencies have certain effects upon our bodies and spirits. I use Solfeggio frequencies as my carrier frequencies for the binaural beats and isochronic tones I have embedded in this music.

"Fire Transforms Us" was written in inspiration of the cardinal element "Fire" around a Solfeggio frequency of 528 Hz, for transformation, miracles, and DNA repair, and a binaural beat of 10 Hz (alpha waves,) designed for light meditation, daydreaming, visualzation and relaxation.

RELEASE DATE: Spring Equinox, 2017. A serial to be published in e-format on Amazon, Kobo, and your other favourite e-book sites. Check out my blog http://dianemorrison.wordpress.com for more information, publication schedule, special features, and more! Picture if you will a world not unlike our own, after an unknown Apocalypse. Relics of the old world remain, but steam and steel have replaced computers and internal combustion. Magic has returned to the world. In the aftermath, a new society of city-states has arisen. Two Orders hold them together: the Courtesans, companions to the wealthy and powerful, assassins and spies; and the Gunslingers, holy warriors sworn to protect the innocent, killing so that others won't have to. They believe they are the reincarnations of the Gunslingers of old, reborn again and again to serve their penance, taking the weight of sin on their own souls so that others are free to Transcend. The series follows the adventures of young elven Gunslingers Graeme and Piper Walsh and Gunslinger Chik-cha the Mantis; Courtesan Emma Winters; Gladiator and former slave Joshua Anders; Gnomish Engineer Wesson Smith; gnelf Mage Dani St. Vincent; and sleazy Alchemist and snake-oil salesman Pete Woodhouse. These youths have a great destiny before them. All the signs suggest that Graeme is the reincarnation of Graeme Paramander, founder of the Gunslinger Order, and his companions are part of that shared fate. A Gunslinger's road is paved with bullets and blood; but that's how the New West will be won. I have used a variety of movie clips to emulate the proper post-apocalyptic steampunk western feel; 2012, The Andromeda Strain, Dungeons & Dragons, The Good the Bad & the Ugly, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, The Man with No Name, The Outlaw Josey Wales, Pale Rider, Roy Rodgers, Sleepy Hollow, The Terminator 2, The Three Musketeers (2011), Tombstone, Van Helsing, Wild Wild West, Young Guns, and Young Guns II. I have used video game footage from Call of Juarez and Red Dead Redemption, and live footage from the California Steampunk Convention 2008, Feshhockachule Kaiserslauters, and the fancy quick draw and gunslinging talents of Calgarian Howard Darby. Music: "Pilgrimage to the Tower" by Crowfreak77, "God's Gonna Cut You Down" by Johnny Cash, and "A Stranger in Tull" by J.R. Flynn, from the score for "The Gunslinger," a movie based on the first novel in The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. Graphics and photography are from random Google searches. I probably don't know the original artists. If you do, please let me know and I will be happy to give due credit and even put links to artist websites. My use of these materials in no way represents a challenge to their respective copyrights. All rights belong to the original owners.

Though gamma waves should improve your concentration and not weaken it, use caution when driving or operating heavy machinery while listening until you know how these tones affect you, and if you have a seizure disorder, use of brainwave entrainment technologies is not advised. Instruments used: Apache drum and shaman rattle, pulsar (recording of the sound of a pulsar mixed into the music,) recorder, synthesizer, vox.

Nature sounds: the "voice of earth" from space as recorded by NASA Voyager. These sounds are electromagnetic emissions of Earth that are within the human auditory range and would be audible in atmosphere.

Binaural Beats: gamma waves 40 Hz for kundalini awakening, spiritual and divine inspiration, and artistic inspiration. Carrier (Solfeggio) frequency: 963 Hz (spiritual awakening).
