It Never Rains, But it Pours - Lots of News!

Posted on July 2, 2013 at 5:25 PM Comments comments (0)

Well, I have had a busy week!  I understand Jupiter just moved into Cancer, which trines my Sun and Jupiter signs, and suddenly, my calling and my spirituality have been bolstered.

First I was featured in the Renaissance Festival Podcast on their "New Music Special," which you can listen to at this link.

Then I played at the Sunwheel Pagan Arts Festival, where I had an opportunity to see old friends Dr. Brendan Myers, as well as Mojo and Wendy Avis of Chalice and Blade, and my friends among the Edmonton Pagan Choir; and make new friends with Vanessa Cardui, Sharon Knight and Heather Dale.  I brought with me Chad McLeary, whose debut professional performance was amazing!  I'll write more about the festival for my column at Witches and Pagans Magazine in the next few days or so.  The big news for fans is that I videotaped the whole performance and have obtained the permission of all the artists to upload it to my YouTube channel!  You'll see that within a few days as well.

On the way to the festival, my subscription-only teaching blog "The Witch's Eight Paths of Power" went live at Patheos!  For only $5 a month you get a weekly lesson supported by videos and biweekly video chat.  I think it's a great deal and a very good format for presenting what I'm teaching.  Tell all your friends!

And on the way home from Sunwheel, I received an email on my phone telling me that my short story, "Survivor," will be published in the July/August edition of sci-fi and fantasy e-zine Separate Worlds!  For those familiar with my novels in the Toy Soldier Saga, "Survivor" features the protagonist Shaundar Sunfall, and it takes place near the beginning of the second novel, "Brothers in Arms."

So in all fields of music and writing, things seem to be happening!  Your support is extremely valuable and appreciated.  Thanks so much to all of you for helping me to do what I do!

Blessed be,

I'm on the Renaissance Festival Podcast!

Hey everyone, for those of you who wanted to tune in to the Spreecast for my CD Release party but were frustrated by the technical difficulties and the bad wireless signal, tomorrow at 1 pm PDT (that's Sunday the 24th of March) I'm running the video of the event as a Spreecast at this link. Our heads are cut off in most of the footage but at least you can hear us, and I'll be broadcasting from my home DSL so I anticipate considerably less difficulties. Hope you'll check it out! In the meantime, you can hear some of the music I'll be playing at my ReverbNation site, http://www.reverbnation.com/sable1. BB
